The exhibition “Raw & Wet. Red Book” offers a thoughtful and hopeful perspective on the relationship between nature and humanity. The project addresses species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, emphasizing their value as an essential part of a shared ecosystem. The image of watercolor flowing on wet paper becomes not only a metaphor for fragility, but also a symbol of a living process — constant movement in which change
is still possible.
The exhibition brings together watercolor artworks created in a wet-on-wet technique with a collection of original fabrics and wallpapers. The prints delicately convey the textures of fur, scales, wings, and shells — natural rhythms that form the unique visual language of each species. Transferred into interior space, these images gain a new dimension, transforming decorative surfaces into a means of preserving memory and expressing respect for biodiversity.
The aim of the exhibition is not only to draw attention to the vulnerability of Ukraine’s ecosystems, but also to foster a sense of connection and responsibility. “Raw & Wet. Red Book” views art as a space of possibility — a way to capture beauty, encourage dialogue, and remind us that the future of nature depends on our
everyday choices.
